Why Your Castor Oil Should Come In A Glass Bottle

Here at IAMA wellness we take great pride in sourcing and bottling our premium-quality, cold pressed organic castor oil, and you may have noticed that our castor oil is always packaged in glass bottles- never plastic.

There's an important reason for this.

Castor oil is composed primarily of ricinoleic acid, a unique fatty acid with a distinctive molecular structure. This structure gives castor oil its potent therapeutic properties, but it also makes the oil susceptible to certain chemical reactions and environmental factors.

Plastic bottles, even those labeled "BPA-free," can interact with the ricinoleic acid in castor oil. This can cause leaching of potentially harmful compounds, which compromises the purity and safety of the product.

In contrast, glass is an inert, non-reactive material. It doesn't contain the synthetic additives found in plastic. This means glass bottles preserve the integrity of the castor oil, ensuring no unwanted substances make their way into the oil and into your bloodstream. At IAMA our bottles are also 100% recyclable.

Additionally, glass provides superior protection from damaging UV light exposure. This is important because prolonged light exposure can degrade the chemical structure of castor oil which reduces its potency over time.

Furthermore, glass is much easier to keep clean than plastic bottles, which get really sticky and attract dust and dirt over time.

By bottling our castor oil in high-quality glass containers, we're able to deliver a pure, potent, and responsibly-sourced product that meets the highest standards of quality and safety. It's all part of our commitment to providing our customers with the very best natural wellness solutions.
