How to Use Castor Oil For Your Everything Shower

Every Sunday I have what is now known as the Everything Shower and thanks to iAMA castor oil, instead of dreading it because it takes so long, I now see it as a nourishing ritual for my body. The amazing thing about using castor oil for an everything shower is that it's completely natural so your beauty regime is much more than skin deep- you're actually nourishing yourself from the inside out.

So here's my tips for how to use castor oil for your Everything Shower. In my opinion the key is to start before you shower!

  1. Pre Shower Castor Oil Hair Mask
Start your shower routine by applying a thick layer of castor oil to your dry hair, focusing on the scalp and ends. Depending on your hair type, you can leave it in for different amounts of time. Click here to read our full blog post on using iAMA Castor Oil as a hair mask.

  2. Pre or Post Shower Castor Oil Full Body Massage (I like to do both!)
Now this is my absolute favourite! Before you even turn on the water, take some time to connect with your body and treat yourself to a nourishing and relaxing castor oil massage. The oil's anti-inflammatory properties can help soothe muscle aches, while its moisturizing benefits leave your skin silky-smooth.

  3. Pre or Post Shower Castor Oil Face Massage / Gua Sha
Gently massage a small amount of castor oil into your face using circular motions, concentrating on problem areas. Not only does this help the oil deeply penetrate your pores, but the massaging action also boosts circulation for a healthy, radiant glow.

  4. In Shower Castor Oil Shave
Replace your regular shaving cream with a thin layer of castor oil for an incredibly close, smooth shave. You can also add a few drops of IAMA Castor Oil to your shaving gel or cream. The oil's lubricating properties allow the razor to glide effortlessly, while also nourishing and protecting your skin. Castor oil also helps to heal wounds so if you get any nicks in your skin from shaving they can heal faster.

  5. In Shower Castor Oil Body Wash
Take your regular body wash to the next level by adding a few drops of pure castor oil directly into the formula. The nourishing castor oil will transform your typical cleansing routine into a deeply moisturizing experience, helping to hydrate and soften skin without leaving behind a greasy residue.

  6. Post Shower Castor Oil Foot Massage
Finish your "Everything Shower" by massaging castor oil into your clean, freshly dried feet. The oil's antifungal properties can help treat and prevent issues like athlete's foot, while also softening and hydrating rough, cracked skin.

  7. Post Shower Castor Oil Make Up Primer
Ditch the traditional primer and reach for castor oil instead for a luminous, natural-looking makeup base. The oil helps create a smooth, even canvas for foundation, while also nourishing the skin with its high concentrations of fatty acids and vitamins. Gently massage a few drops of castor oil into clean skin before applying your makeup for a radiant, long-lasting look.
